Spread the Christmas jumper joy at fundraising world record attempt

If you’re starting to get into the festive spirit, why not don your Christmas jumper and come along to 新澳门彩历史开奖记录 on 10 December to join the hundreds who’ll be gathering to break the winter woolly world record?

The event is being held as part of the national Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser, which is aiming to “make the world better with a sweater.” Now in its third year, the event has raised more than £1.6 million to date to help give children around the world a brighter future.

Sarah Haar, 新澳门彩历史开奖记录’s Corporate Social Responsibility Intern, is coordinating the 新澳门彩历史开奖记录 event.

“We want to raise as much money as we can for Save the Children and set a new world record at the same time,” she says.

“The Guinness world record currently stands at 639, but I’m sure we can beat that easily. We want to see as many local people from all around 新澳门彩历史开奖记录 on the campus wearing their Christmas woollies. They can be tasteful (or not!), bought or homemade, it really doesn’t matter, just as long as they’re suitably festive.”

The world record attempt will take place on Wednesday 10 December from 12.30pm at the newly landscaped Shirley Pearce Square, in front of on the 新澳门彩历史开奖记录 campus. There will also be a Christmas farmers’ market so you can stock up on festive fare and music to keep you entertained.

“All we’re asking is that everyone donates £2 and then enjoys the festivities, it’s that simple,” says Sarah. “So if you’ve got a bit of time to spare at lunchtime on 10 December, we’d love to see you on campus. And don’t forget to tell all your family and friends!”
